Armageddon Plan

If you don’t have an Armageddon Plan, you could be putting your business and family at risk.

No one likes to think about what would happen if they were suddenly no longer around. But if you’re the business owner or the breadwinner for your family, it’s important to have a plan in place for what would happen if you were hit by a bus tomorrow.

Your Armageddon Plan should include things like life insurance and a will, so that your family is taken care of financially if something happens to you.

For your business, who would open the pharmacy? Who would handle your clients? Make sure you have a plan in place so your business can continue to run smoothly even if you’re no longer there. It’s important to have someone designated to take over your business or professional responsibilities in case of an emergency.

These are the things that you should be considering for your Armageddon Plan.

  • Do you have a will in place?
  • Do you have life insurance, trauma insurance?
  • Do you have power of attorney in place for medical, legal and financial?
  • Do you have a list of pharmacists that your spouse/significant other can call to work in the pharmacy while you are unable to?
  • Do you have opening procedures, access to keys, alarm codes to hand over to a locum?

Don’t wait until it’s too late to put an Armageddon Plan in place. Talk to your financial advisor or lawyer today to get started.
